Europeana Creative Challenges: first results

Europeana Creative has recently organised the first Challenge Event aimed at creative developers and entrepreneurs. The challenge was to create innovative applications using the Europeana collections on the theme of Natural History Education and History Education.

The winners of this challenge were Zeitfenster, Trimaps and Pathway Authoring Tool for Museums. On 29 April 2014, the finalists of this first Europeana Creative Challenge were invited to Brussels to pitch their concepts and ideas at the New Frontiers for European Entrepreneurs event in Brussels.

Europeana Creative aims to enable and promote greater re-use of cultural heritage resources by Europe's creative industries. The project started in February 2013 and will run for 30 months.

The next Europeana Creative Challanges will focus on the thems of Tourism, Design and Social Media and will be announced on this page.
